Department of Botany started its journey in the year 1971. Before that the department of Zoology and department of Botany was joint and was known as Department of Biology. The department offering both Pass and Honours courses in its UG level study. Pre UG level study is also offering by the department. From the starting the department has 3 teaching posts.
